Blackburn Open Walls returned this year with more mind blowing pieces of street art.
Blackburn Open Walls (BOW) is a collaboration between artists and Blackburn with Darwen Council, designed to bring communities together in conversation and creative inspiration, through street art.

Firefighters tackling the huge moorland blaze on Winter Hill have created an exclusion zone.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service wants people to stay away from the area – which stretches from Rivington Pike to Horrocks Moor – for their own safety and to prevent more fires.

Blackburn with Darwen Council is proposing to change its concessionary disabled travel card scheme.
Currently, people who have a Disabled NoWCard pay a flat fare of 50p to travel on local weekday bus journeys before 9.30am.

The Weavers Wheel cycle fest took place at Witton Park on Saturday.
The festival was a great success with many people turning up to try out the range of free, family-friendly activities, including free bike and helmet hire, led rides and bike doctor surgeries.
