New café is icing on the cake for development

A new café is set to open in Blackburn’s £30 million Cathedral Quarter development.

The coffee shop and dessert bar called BB1 Central will be opposite the railway station and sell a selection of Gelato Icecreams waffles, crepes and other sweet treats.

Smokefree open spaces consultation

Memorial Service 2016

The fourth Blackburn with Darwen Memorial Service will take place in the summer this year.

The ‘Let Us Remember’ annual event usually happens in March but with bad weather forecasted, it has been postponed until June 5 in the hope of brighter skies.

This Week with The Mayor

The Mayor, who began his mayoral year in May, will next week attend the Annual Accrington Pals Memorial Service at St John’s with St Augustine’s Parish Church, Accrington on Sunday along side the Mayoress.

The Mayor, who began his mayoral year in May, to attend the Opening of the new premises for the Nippon Dai martial Arts Academy at the Old Fire Station, alongside the Mayoress, on Monday, to meet with Daniel Thorley from Creative Support Group in Mayor’s Parlour and to attend the Student of Year Award at Masters of Martial Arts, alongside the Mayoress, on Friday, and finally to attend Blackburn Road Runners Winter Warmer Event, at Witton Park, along with the Mayoress, on Sunday.
