The ceremony rooms at King George’s Hall have had a revamp.

The rooms in the Northgate Suite, Northgate, Blackburn, now cater to any size of wedding or civil partnership, big or small, and have been fully redecorated.

The Victorian Room is for more intimate weddings, with room for 12 guests. The Edwardian Room fits 40 people and the Georgian Room has space for 60.

For even bigger ceremonies, the Georgian Room and Edwardian Room can be made into one to accommodate 100 people.

Councillor Andy Kay, Blackburn with Darwen Council’s Executive Member for Resources, said:

We are delighted that the services we are able to provide have been improved for all types of ceremony. We hope that many more people will celebrate here and take advantage of the great facilities.

These new rooms let people have their wedding or civil ceremony in a really attractive town centre setting, making it the ideal venue for their special day.”
