This week’s parkrun update is from Gina who completed here one hundredth park run

As 100 celebrations go, this one was brilliant.

The weather may not have perfect but it didn’t dampen the happy cheery mood I was in. The early wake up was worth it to get the train down there.

The rain just made it better really, I enjoy mud and off road much more than a road run any day!

The atmosphere was so friendly and happy today, my cake looked ace and was so yummy (thanks Michelle!) All the happy friendly faces from the marshals were fab, even they were happy to be there in the rain .

I may have only done 6 of these parkruns, but I feel so welcome here.

It may have been Preston that started off my love for parkrun, but it’s at Witton where I found my ideal course. For something that was supposed to be a one off while my local run was called off due to ice, it’s become a favorite run to do.

So thank you to everyone who made my 100 so special, very much enjoyed it and I look forward to doing another 150 and doing 250 there too!

To register for parkrun, go to http://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/form/

Simply fill the form in, print off your barcode and come along.  We start at 9AM every Saturday by the Pavilion Cafe in Witton park (the cafe also offer a discount to parkrunners who show their barcode).
