New stats show smoking rates in Blackburn with Darwen have fallen significantly since 2016.
Issued by Public Health England, the stats show the amount of adult smokers in Blackburn with Darwen dropped from 19.5 per cent (21,472) to 16.2 per cent (17,893) in 2018.

An over 50s group in Blackburn with Darwen is on the lookout for new members.
The group, based at Greenfields Community Centre on Green Lane, Blackburn has been running for 17 years and offers a place for people aged 50 and above to meet new people and take part in various activities, including the occasional day trip.
