Today we share greetings to everyone who’ll be celebrating Diwali over the weekend. Wishing you happy times with your loved ones during the festival of lights.
Diwali is a religious celebration for Hindus and Sikhs, and is marked by some Buddhists too. Known as the festival of lights, the celebration marks the return of Lord Rama and his wife Sita after 14 years of exile, and victory over the demon Ravana.
To celebrate, people decorate their homes with lights, candles and lamps, and sometimes let off fireworks too.
The lights have a symbolic meaning that good triumphs over evil.
