A new campaign for older people has been launched in Blackburn with Darwen.
Called Ageing Well, it aims to help older people – as we all have good times throughout our lives – but as we get older, we do face new challenges.

Due to the sad news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the difficult decision was taken to postpone the World Suicide Prevention Day vigils in September in line with other local and national events, as the nation entered a period of mourning.

A local community group has been awarded a grant to increase the awareness of dementia.
The funds awarded to One Voice’s Remember the Times Project from the Aviva Community Fund will be used to create an extra 1,000 Dementia Friends in the Blackburn with Darwen area by the end of 2019.
