Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council have been awarded a total of £555,185 from the Department of Transport to improve the council’s traffic signal systems as part of ‘The Traffic Signal Obsolescence Grant’, which will have a positive effect on roads across the borough.

Three new mental health projects centred around people aged 12-35 have launched in Blackburn with Darwen to promote better mental health within the local community.

King George’s Hall and Darwen Library Theatre have been awarded £364,000 as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) to help face the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and to ensure they have a sustainable future, the Culture Secretary has announced today.
