Callers claimed to be ringing from Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council stating that the NHS had given them details of an accident they had been in.

A special event to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday was held at Derwent Hall.
Older people across the borough were treated to classic tunes from the 1940s and 1950s from entertainer Joyce Kearton and enjoyed a hot meal and a quiz with fantastic prizes.

A Blackburn food company has been fined more than £3,000 for food hygiene breaches.
Blackburn with Darwen Council’s Public Protection team found that Blackburn-based Azalea Foods Ltd had unhygienic crates at the industrial unit and had no hot and cold running water on the premises.
