Olympic facility set for official opening in Darwen

The £1.2m transformation of a skate park in Darwen is just weeks away from completion.

And, already two international events have been booked at Junction 4 Skatepark – which is set to host Olympic trials and attract visitors from around the world.

Artist to visit Darwen Library to collect local people’s stories of Jubilee

Artist Thomas Daniel ‘Tom’ Byrne will be bringing his ‘Jubilation Station’ to Darwen Library!

On Monday 23rd May Tom will be encouraging customers to sit and talk, write or otherwise share their stories throughout the day as part of a project called ‘Jubilation’.
