Work is starting up again to improve traffic around Haslingden Road and Roman Road.
Construction around the road widening scheme was put on hold in March at the start of theCovid-19 pandemic, as restrictions were put in place, but work has now restarted.

Local additional precautionary workplace guidance has been issued to reduce the potential for community transmission.
In our shops, in advance of the Governments mandatory introduction of face coverings on 24th July, it is now the Council’s guidance that everyone visiting our shops should wear face coverings and it is advised that face coverings be worn in all other enclosed spaces such as libraries, museums, health centres, hair and beauty salons etc.
