A service of thanksgiving for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will take place on Sunday the 18th of September at Blackburn Cathedral.

Artist Thomas Daniel ‘Tom’ Byrne will be bringing his ‘Jubilation Station’ to Darwen Library!
On Monday 23rd May Tom will be encouraging customers to sit and talk, write or otherwise share their stories throughout the day as part of a project called ‘Jubilation’.

A special event to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday was held at Derwent Hall.
Older people across the borough were treated to classic tunes from the 1940s and 1950s from entertainer Joyce Kearton and enjoyed a hot meal and a quiz with fantastic prizes.
