FALLSTOP Challenge Winner Collects Prize

Barbora Biela was presented with £25 of shopping vouchers by Amy Greenhalgh after she was picked out of the hat as winner of the FALLSTOP Challenge which took place at the Mall in February

Launched earlier this year, the FALLSTOP campaign aims to raise awareness of simple steps people can take to stay on their feet and carry on doing the activities they enjoy as they get older.

Care technology giving Ibrar independence

Hi-tech devices are giving local people with learning disabilities extra peace of mind.

A pilot scheme for new hi-tech equipment is currently being rolled out across all areas of Blackburn with Darwen to give those with learning disabilities support to maintain independence in their daily lives.
