Next week is Shared Lives Week, so we are shining a light on the scheme in Blackburn with Darwen and some of the fantastic carers who make a real difference to the lives of the people they take care of and their own lives as well.

Looked After Children from Blackburn and Darwen were treated to a winning display from Blackburn Rovers at Saturday’s match at Ewood Park.

A carer’s event is being held in September to look at developing an integrated service offer for unpaid carers across Blackburn and Darwen – and would like to know what the service would look like for you.

Carers in Blackburn can have real peace of mind thanks to a new service from the Red Cross. The Red Cross Carer’s Emergency Card is a new way for people who care for others to be identified and for their dependents to be looked after in case of illness or accident.
