On Monday Blackburn with Darwen will join many councils across the country in the annual raising of flags to show our support for our Armed Forces.

The Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen and the Deputy Mayor will attend short ceremonies to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day on Thursday 6 June.

Blackburn with Darwen Council will receive three paving stones, to commemorate each recipients of the Victoria Cross within the borough during the First World War.
