The government has confirmed that the whole of Lancashire, including Blackburn with Darwen, will move to Tier 4 of the Coronavirus restrictions from Thursday 31 December.

The government has confirmed that Blackburn with Darwen and the whole of Lancashire will remain in Tier 3.

The leaders of Lancashire councils (Blackburn with Darwen, LCC, Blackpool and district councils) are continuing to negotiate with the government today as an announcement about Lancashire being upgraded to Tier 3 of the new Covid alert levels is expected.
