The borough’s Local Plan – which aims to deliver the homes, jobs, supporting infrastructure and community facilities the borough needs – has been formally adopted by the Council as the new Development Plan for the Borough.

A new ‘Local Plan’ is set be discussed at Blackburn with Darwen’s Council Forum.
The plan is being presented to the meeting in December and could see more prosperity and transformation in the borough.

Blackburn with Darwen Council has submitted its new Local Plan to the Government for examination.
A planning inspector will now examine the document over the few months with hearing sessions taking place in Autumn.
