Running Mayor for Blackburn and Darwen, Andrew Gardner, is man on a mission to get more of us into our trainers and out of the house making running part of our wellbeing self-care:

Tickets are now available for the 2015 Mayor’s Ball at King George’s Hall in April.
Hosted by the Mayor of Blackburn, Councillor Alan Cottam, the event features a delicious three-course dinner and fantastic music from the Greater Manchester Police Band.

Volunteers are needed to help renovate Blackburn Foodbank’s new premises.
The new premises are based on Oakenhurst Road, and it is hoped the foodbank will move into the building within the next month.

Blackburn with Darwen is getting set to ‘Ramp Up The Red’ later this week.
The Council and other local groups from the borough are getting involved in the British Heart Foundation’s national fundraising day, taking place this Friday February 7, to raise awareness of all heart conditions with a host of events planned.
