The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has announced that the Blackburn Bus Station has been shortlisted for the prestigious RIBA North West award.

Eric Wright Ltd have been appointed as the new contractors for Blackburn Bus Station.
Councillor Phil Riley, Executive Member for Regeneration at Blackburn with Darwen Council, said:
I am delighted that Eric Wright have now been appointed to complete the bus station development.

This Christmas is set to be a fun filled busy time for Blackburn Town Centre.
Following on from last year’s successful embargo of road and maintenance works, the Council is pleased to announce that the same will come into force for its entire works between December 5th and January 5th.

History has been made after a time capsule was buried in one of the iconic loops on the new Blackburn bus station.

A steel signing ceremony was held at the new Blackburn bus station to mark the continuing progress.

Work on the new bus station is underway.
