Opening this weekend is a huge indoor pool inflatable, and it’s right here in Blackburn with Darwen.
The aptly named ‘Total Splash Out’ is for children of all ages and fun-loving adults too. The inflatable spans the whole length of the pool and is packed with slides, obstacles, splash zones, and bounce areas.

It will be open to the public every weekend and bonus sessions will be available every Wednesday throughout the summer holidays, from Wednesday 23 July to Wednesday 23 August. And if you fancy a bit more privacy for you and your friends, you can book ‘Total Splash Out’ for Birthday parties, school trips and youth groups; and corporate team-building events too!
Opening this Saturday 19 July at Darwen Leisure Centre, spots must be booked in advance.
Councillor Jim Smith, Executive Member for Environment and Communities said:
Opening just in time for the summer holidays, bringing this fun floating mega-structure to the borough has been in the pipeline for a while, so I’m really glad to see it officially launching this weekend.
In my opinion, there’s no bigger indoor pool inflatable in the country. It’s guaranteed to offer so much fun to everyone who gives it a go.
We’ve held some trial sessions to ensure that the experience we give residents is seamless; and I can’t wait to hear how much everyone enjoys it!
Councillor Phil Riley, Leader of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council said:
Here at the council one of our four core missions is to build happier and healthier communities; and I’m sure you’ll agree that this new inflatable is a vital tick in that box!
Introducing ‘Total Splash Out’ to the borough is another feather in our cap which will bring visitors from far and wide into Darwen.
Under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult, but if your child is over 8 years old, why not visit the Leisure Centre café while you wait?
