Motorists and local residents are being advised that a series of resurfacing works will begin in the next fortnight across three locations in Blackburn and on the A666 in Darwen town centre.
The areas affected – with start and anticipated completion dates – are as follows:
- A666, Darwen town centre – work, predominantly undertaken during evening and night time to minimise disruption, commences Monday 18 September and is expected to be completed on Wednesday 20 September
- Preston Old Road, Blackburn – work begins on Tuesday 19 September with a projected completion date of Wednesday 4 October. The majority of these improvements will take place during evening and night time to minimise disruption
- Audley Range, Blackburn – work commences on Wednesday 27 September, finishing on Wednesday 4 October
- Harrison Street junction with Sumner Street, Blackburn – work starts Monday 2 October, concluding Wednesday 4 October
Advanced warning signs are in place and residents and local businesses have been informed.
