Over £400 has been raised by a Blackburn community in support of the Mayors Charity
Over 500 Blackburn residents supported the Mayors Charity at a community family fun day earlier this year.
Held at Bangor Street Community centre the annual family fun day saw local businesses donate gifts and raffle prizes that helped contribute to the final total.
The fun day also featured Childrens face painting, stalls serving food and side activities.
Councillor Alan Cottam Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen said “I thank all those that helped made this annual Mayoral fun day so special. Myself and the Mayoress really enjoyed ourselves and the money raised will go to help fund the East Lancashire Hospice and the SSAFA”
To date the Mayors Charity for this year has raised over £12,000.
