Have your say on how Lancashire manages its waste in future

The Lancashire Waste Partnership is updating its strategy for managing waste across Lancashire from 2026-2036 and has launched a new survey to find out your views.

Made up of 15 local authorities – Lancashire County Council, the 12 district councils and the 2 unitary councils – including Blackburn with Darwen; the Lancashire Waste Partnership works to provide the most efficient waste management service possible for Lancashire residents.

Today, a draft strategy has been launched by the Partnership, called ‘A low waste Lancashire’ , to look at how recycling and rubbish is collected, managed and disposed of across Lancashire, and sets out the vision, objectives and proposed actions for the next 10 years.

We want you – Blackburn with Darwen residents to have your say on the draft strategy, its vision, objectives and the proposed actions. The survey will take no more than 10 minutes for you to complete.

Completing this survey will help us to understand what matters to you.

The feedback received from this will be used to develop the final waste strategy, due to be published later in 2026.

You can read a summary of the draft strategy or access the full draft strategy before responding to the survey.

The survey is open until Sunday 9 August. Complete the survey now.
