Get tested if you have coronavirus symptoms

Published Thursday 22 October 2020 at 10:38

The Council has issued a latest update on coronavirus testing in Blackburn with Darwen.

We are again reiterating that if you have any symptoms of coronavirus you should get tested as soon as possible.

Appointments are available at our testing sites across the borough, including walk up appointments for all those who are symptomatic at Railway Road in Darwen and at Blackburn College.

Booking first is still advised but if you are having problems accessing appointments with the national online system you can get tested without registering first online.

Just walk up to either site during their hours of operation, 8am–8pm, seven days a week. Please follow public health guidelines around social distancing and face coverings when onsite.

Appointments for the permanent testing site outside the Royal Blackburn Hospital are available via the national system.

You can register and book online or call 119. The registration process takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. This provides you with an appointment.

The Council has updated its website with the latest information which is being regularly reviewed and updated.
