Changes to mobile testing at Penny Street, Blackburn

Published Wednesday 16 September 2020 at 12:57

The Council is advising that mobile testing at Penny Street car park in Blackburn will not be available on some upcoming dates.

They are:

Thursday and Friday September 17 and 18

Thursday and Friday September 24 and 25

Monday and Tuesday September 28 and 29

Our mobile testing sites are subject to being moved at short notice to other parts of the county, and the unit is required at Edge Hill and Lancaster Universities on those dates.

As we strongly advised earlier this week, in order to get a test at any of our permanent, mobile or walk-in locations you should try and book online first. This applies to people with coronavirus symptoms and those without but in need of a test.

If you are unable to do so, or are offered a location or time which is not convenient, please wait a few hours and then try again.

We are told there may be a small number of walk-up appointments available at the walk-in testing sites at Blackburn College and in Darwen for people with symptoms however, to avoid a potentially wasted journey, we again advise you try to try and book first if at all possible.
