Repair works to cemetery road
Work is to commence from Monday 30th March, to repair the Potholes and improve the condition of the road within Pleasington Playing fields and the Cemetery at the Roundabout outside the Crematorium.
Highways will be on site from the Bridge (Butlers Bridge) over the River to the Cemetery gate from Monday to Thursday next week, with the work at the roundabout outside the Crematorium taking place on Saturday and Sunday to avoid disruption to funerals.
Temporary lights will be in place and will be turned off (as a mark of respect) for funeral corteges to pass through the works.
Councillor Smith, Executive Member for Environment said: “This is essential maintenance work which needs to be carried out on this busy road. We will ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum and does not affect any funeral corteges.”
