Why Not Volunteer this National Volunteer Week.

As part of the national celebration of volunteers next week, Community and Volunteering Services (CVS) will be hosting a number of events throughout the week to encourage volunteering.

Often the unsung heroes of the Borough, volunteers help make Blackburn with Darwen a better place to live, work and develop.

If you wish to get involved with volunteering or if you want learn more about how you can help improve your community why not attend one of the following next week.

Monday 1st June

  • One 2 One Support for Volunteer Organisers, Boulevard Centre: 9.30-2pm
  • Volunteer Organisers Network Celebration,Boulevard Centre: 1-4pm
  • Mill Hill Canal Clean Up, Mill Hill Community Centre : 10am-1pm

Tuesday 2nd June

  • Have Your Cake and Eat It, Café Hub, Darwen: 10am- 12 noon

Wednesday 3rd June

  • Introduction to Volunteering, Boulevard Centre 9.30am-11.30 am
  • Ladies Only Celebration, Bangor Street Community Centre 10am-12 noon

Thursday 4th June

  • Rumble Jumble, St Oswalds Church Hall : 10am-12 noon
  • It’s All About U, Blackburn Library: 1-4pm

Friday 5th June

  • Volunteer Extravaganza, Your Support Your Choice, Town Hall St: 10-12.30pm
