British Cycling, along with a partnership of organisations across Lancashire, has announced a second phase of brand new rides as part of their exciting British Cycling Local programme, these are the upcoming rides starting 08 May.
Thanks to investment from British Cycling, Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen Council and Blackpool Council, the partnership has just announced a series of new rides, including routes that have never been ridden by Sky Ride Local riders before.
Guided by friendly British Cycling Ride Leaders along scenic local routes, the rides showcase some of the best sights the county has to offer.
James Syson, Transport Strategy Team Leader at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council said:
“In partnership with other Lancashire authorities, British Cycling and community groups we are investing in a programme of rides, events and projects to meet the increasing demand from residents and visitors for more local cycling opportunities. This is a great way of encouraging more sustainable, healthy and fun journeys across Lancashire”
