Two new courses for people with dementia

Two new courses are starting soon for people with dementia in Blackburn with Darwen.

A free six week ‘Living well with dementia’ training programme starts on Tuesday 16th January 2018 at Audley and Queen’s Park Neighbourhood Learning Centre, Pringle Street, Blackburn, BB1 1SF at 1.30pm.   If you or a family member has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia this course will help you to find out what support is available.

In addition to this, a free four week ‘Capturing memories: a chance to reminisce and be creative’ course will be held at Hopwood Court, 1 William Hopwood Street, Blackburn, BB1 1LX.  The course will explore how creative arts can help people with Alzheimer’s or dementia to recall memories and events.  The course starts on Wednesday 24th January 2018 (1pm to 3.30pm) and runs until Wednesday 14th February 2018.

Both courses have been approved by the Blackburn with Darwen Dementia Action Alliance.
