You can now get married at Turton Tower for the very first time!
The 600-year-old Tudor manor house is located in a tranquil woodland setting and there’s two beautiful reception rooms—the dining room and the morning room – both now available to hire for ceremonies.
During the summer months, marquee receptions on the lawn will also be available for full wedding breakfasts.
The iconic, Grade I listed building has been used as the backdrop for many TV programmes – including Bancroft, the Last Tango in Halifax and Brassic, staring Michelle Keegan.
Councillor Damian Talbot, Executive Member for Public Health and Wellbeing at Blackburn with Darwen Council, said:
The team at Turton Tower have worked incredibly hard to make the iconic landmark available for weddings.
We’re very lucky to have access to heritage sites like this for special occasions and I know it will prove a popular venue for ceremonies.
A wedding planner is on hand at the Tower to help plan the big day down to the finest detail.
The venue hire includes full use of the grounds for photographs, red carpets and decorations.
Councillor Talbot added:
Turton Tower is such an impressive building – it really is the perfect setting for a wedding.
It’s set within formal grounds and gardens and the events will help breathe new life in to the historic landmark.
