This week the Mayor will be out and about once again fulfilling his official engagements.
The Mayor, who began his mayoral year in May, will next week be holding a Mayoral Meeting in the Mayor’s Parlour, to attend the Darwen Old People’s Welfare Annual General Meeting at Derwent Hall on Monday. On Tuesday, the Mayor will be attending a morning assembly at Audley Junior School and both Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Mayor of Pendle ‘At Home’, Nelson Town Hall. Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Darwen Vale High School Service of Remembrance, to attend the 2 Minute Silence on the Town Hall steps, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, to attend the 2 Minute Silence at Darwen Town Hall, to attend a charity event in aid of ‘Soldiers off the Street’ at Audley Lane Community Centre, Kinross Walk and finally to attend the Lancashire Boys and Girls Club ‘Got Talent 2015’ at Thwaites Theatre on Wednesday. Mayoress to attend the Blackburn Townswomen’s Guild Luncheon at the Ribchester Arms on Thursday. Mayor and Mayoress to attend the Official Opening of Chocolat By Daniel Coletta – Chocolate Emporium, to attend the Rededication of a restored War Memorial relocated at Blackburn Cathedral on Saturday and finally on Sunday both Mayor and Mayoress to attend the East Lancashire Hospice Annual Christmas Fayre.
