A special event was held at Tunstill’s Bakery in Darwen to let people know all about the benefits of fostering.
Foster carers, staff from the fostering team at Blackburn with Darwen Council gave out advice at the event which included a pop-up photo booth, an information gazebo outside the bakery and special cupcakes.
People posed for a selfie with a cake and banner in the photo booth, and all images will then be shared on the Let’s Foster Facebook page.
Councillor Maureen Bateson, Executive member for Children’s Services, said:
We had a great response from people, they really enjoyed using the photobooth and quite a few people went away with information. Fostering can be really rewarding and you could help to change a young person’s life for the better.”
