This summer Blackburn with Darwen Music Hub are working in partnership with Blackburn Youth Zone and More Music to deliver a week of music activities for children and young people in the borough from Monday 17th August at Blackburn Youth Zone.
‘HEARTBEAT’ will see 4 mornings of drumming with rhythms and instruments from South Asia, Africa and Brazil for ages 8-14.
‘SOUNDTRACKS’ will run 4 evenings of band workshops, songwriting, beatboxing, drumming and music production for ages 12-19.
The two summer projects will launch a programme of music workshops which will continue in to 2016 when we will be delivering sessions in schools, with Young People’s Service, at Blackburn Youth Zone and through the Music Service’s Saturday morning programme ‘Music Factory’.
