The search begins to find businesses and organisations to sponsor the awards that celebrate the boroughs unsung heroes.
Community CVS and Blackburn with Darwen Council are working together to celebrate and recognise the hard work and dedication of our borough’s volunteers for this year’s Community Volunteer Awards.
Last year was a huge success as we celebrated committed volunteers ranging from those who help keep their community tidy, to those who offer their time supporting individuals, charities and organisations.
The awards will be held at King George’s Hall on Thursday 4th June 2020 hosted by Radio Lancashire’s Graham Liver.
By sponsoring the awards, your organisation will be associated with some of the borough’s most inspiring people. It will show that you are backing your local community and you’re commitment to corporate social responsibility.
As well as offering your organisation the chance to be associated with this premier event, our sponsorship packages come with lots of added value including the opportunity to access space on the Council’s digital advertising assets.

It’s amazing how many people in the borough put so much time and effort into make Blackburn and Darwen a better place for us all. It would be fantastic if we could find sponsors who will enable these award ceremonies to continue each year for the very deserving heroes that put their heart and soul into their community.

The Volunteer Awards Annual Celebration has become established as Blackburn with Darwen’s main event recognising the amazing work of volunteers in our community. Without the fantastic support of sponsors this event simply could not take place and I would therefore be absolutely delighted if you felt able to contribute. Apart from the knowledge of having supported important community work sponsors also gain the benefit of their name and brand being published as well as a table at the event.
