Smokefree open spaces consultation

Blackburn with Darwen Council is currently consulting with residents on proposals to introduce smokefree signs in a number of Council-owned or operated outdoor spaces across the Borough.

It is proposed that these signs would include messages like: ‘please do not smoke in this play area’ and would be there to advise people only and not be enforceable.

This approach has been successfully adopted by other councils such as Lancashire County Council and Blackpool Council.

Blackburn with Darwen Council is asking people for their views by completing this short five-minute survey. Responses are anonymous and will be used to inform a decision on whether to proceed with the plans.

The survey will be available until March 13.
