The first three organisations to take up the opportunity of sponsoring a roundabout in Blackburn have been revealed.
And they all have something in common: looking after the future of the young people in the borough.
Belthorn Academy Primary School, Belthorn, Evoultion Childcare on Shadsworth Business Park and Bumblebees nursery in Shadsworth Road are the first three local organisations to take advantage of the new advertising opportunity.
As a result they are each able to advertise their services to prospective pupils, parents and guardians, on signs that a passed by thousands of commuters every day.
The roundabouts are all on Haslingden Road leading to Junction 5 on the M65 and see on average around 24,000 cars pass daily.
Sarah Fox, Nursery Manager at Evolution Childcare-Shadsworth, said:
The roundabouts were put up really quickly and they look great. They’ve been up only a few days and already we have had enquiries from people who have seen them. The sponsorship team at the Council have been so helpful, responsive to messages and phoning regularly to ensure our requirements have been met.
Tracy Mayoh, Bumble bees nursery manager added
We were amazed at the price quoted and how easy it was to set up the roundabout signs and also how efficient your team were at getting the signs made and displayed.
This is certainly an advertising technique I would recommend to other local companies
In total there are twelve roundabouts available to sponsor.
