Blackburn with Darwen Councillor Phil Riley said: “We really appreciate the continued support of all residents while we all get through this third lockdown. If you are able to stay at home you’ll be helping the NHS and other vulnerable residents to stay safe. If you are a key worker or making an essential journey, please follow the Government guidance so you can stay safe and protect others.”
The new strain of coronavirus is spreading fast. We all need to play our part to stop the spread.
- Everyone must work from home unless they are unable
- You must stay at home except for a very limited set of exemptions
- Stay local when possible
- Walk or cycle where possible
- Try to avoid busy times and routes.
If you must travel plan your journey and reduce the number of journeys where possible
Maintenance
All Council maintenance roadworks are following COVID-safety working measures, including any third-party contractors. We have also requested that utility companies only undertake essential works. We’ve also shared our LFT stations with Statutory Undertakers and encouraged their workforce to take a test when working in the borough.
