Darwen Market has recently re-opened and is delighted to be welcoming well known business owner Steve Willis and his store, Teleman, to Darwen Market.
Steve has previously supplied electrical goods to the people of Darwen and the surrounding areas for the last 23 years, from his shop on Bridge Street Darwen. He has enjoyed getting to know the people of Darwen and being part of the retail community at the heart of the town.
Cllr. Phil Riley was keen to welcome Teleman, he said:
It is positive to see that people are continuing with planned business developments despite the unprecedented situation we all find ourselves in. Teleman have been able to make essential deliveries and move in to their new home in Darwen Market, at one of the most testing times for everyone. Darwen people are continuing to support local businesses, such as Teleman, which is great to see.
Steve has relocated Teleman to the annexe in Darwen Market Hall and has worked with the Market’s team to create a great looking stall, close to the car park.
Steve said:
One of the reason’s I have made this decision is that I feel it will be more accessible to many of my customers, and it also enables them to shop for all their requirements under one roof.
Talking of the longevity of his business, Steve felt that supporting local businesses is essential to their survival, and in turn shopkeepers should provide the local community with a high quality of goods and service. This is certainly reflected in the well wishes that Steve has received from his loyal customers so far!
Practising what he believes in, Steve purchased his new stall signage from Darwen business, Indigo Eye, who designed and installed the new sign.
If you are new to Teleman, Steve sells a range of TVs, fridge freezers, vacuums and vac spares, washers, dryers, microwaves, Roberts radios, clocks, wide range of lighting, kettles, toasters, sandwich makers, phones, blenders, coffee makers, hair dryers and trimmers, fans (hot and cold), electric can openers, electric knives, deep fat fryers, wide range of light bulbs, batteries, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, oil filled radiators and convector heaters, slow cookers, crockpots, hot air fryers and much more!
Steve looks forward to welcoming customers new and old to his new stall in Darwen Market.
