A Pennine Lancashire company has been shortlisted for a prestigious European award – and it needs your help.

Arthouse Limited, based in Rossendale, which designs interior products such as wallpaper, wall art, mirrors and cushions, is in the running for a National Public Champions Awards, which are part the European Business Awards.

The company, which employs more than 70 people, will be battling with other UK businesses in a public vote.

The winners of the vote will then be entered into a European National Public Champions award which seem them compete against businesses across the continent.

To support Arthouse in its award bid, the leader of Rossendale Council, Councillor Alyson Barnes, visited the Waterfoot’s company base to meet chief executive, Anita Kenyon and her staff.

Councillor Barnes said:

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Arthouse and saw first hand what an innovative and creative business it is. It will be great news for Rossendale if a business from our area wins this prestigious award so please take a few seconds to vote for them.

Rossendale is blessed with many superb companies like Arthouse and we should not be shy from promoting that.

Arthouse Chief Executive, Anita Kenyon, said:

Please vote for us! We have until 1 March for people to watch our video and vote for us to be the National Public Champion for UK.  This vote means a lot as we are very proud of our company and our country, so to have public approval of our success is a great endorsement. Thank you to everyone in advance for their support!

The company has posted a video online at www.businessawardseurope.com or visit www.arthouse.com,  telling the unique story of their business success, and hopes the general public will vote for them.
