One Voice Blackburn is pleased to link up with Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to announce the nomination process for this year’s Leader’s Award.
The Mohammed Khan Leader’s Award will acknowledge and reward an individual or an organisation that has promoted community cohesion through leadership in Blackburn and Darwen.
Last year’s winner was Chris Seddon who was rewarded for her work with the asylum and refugee communities, as well as a long and distinguished career in educating those from challenging backgrounds.
Blackburn with Darwen Council Leader Mohammed Khan said,
I am honoured and humbled that this award has been named after me for a third year running.
The award represents celebrating leaders in our community who bring people together and make Blackburn with Darwen a better place to live, work and visit.
If you would like to nominate someone or an organisation send a 100 word explanation as to the reason for your choice.
