Health leaders in Blackburn with Darwen are inviting local residents to share their experiences of local NHS services.
NHS Blackburn with Darwen Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) runs a programme of ‘patient stories’ which are used to help the commissioners understand how patients perceive the health care they have received. It also helps inform how they can improve on the many different aspects of a health service that they commission (plan and buy) for the local population.
Dr Chris Clayton, Clinical Chief Officer at NHS Blackburn with Darwen CCG, said:
This is a very valuable way for us to learn first-hand about the experiences of our local GP services, hospitals, mental health or any other health services in Blackburn with Darwen.
“Providing feedback, both good and bad, can help inform the way we commission services in the future. Building on people’s experiences of using services, along with reviewing the latest medical evidence is key in shaping local health services.
