United Utilities is starting the process to lift the boil water advice in some specific parts of Lancashire.
The lifting of the boil water notice only applies in certain postcode areas. For all other customers, the boil water advice remains in place until further notice.
Minimal properties on the border of Blackburn with Darwen and South Ribble/Ribble Valley have been affected and those on the boundary should continue to check the water advice using the United Utilities postcode checker.
To check which postcodes have been lifted, customers should visit the United Utilities website at www.unitedutilities.com or phone Freephone number 0800 912 7241.
Customers in the areas where the boil notice has been lifted will receive a letter of confirmation in the post.
