As part of its growing commitment to supporting young people and tackling youth unemployment, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council has launched a website that will act as an ever growing and constantly updated resource that will advertise all apprentice positions across the Council.

Placed across all Council departments and services, Council apprenticeships offer invaluable paid on the job training and experience whilst also giving young people the skills needed to be competitive when they enter the job market at the end of their two years.

Since it launched the Council’s apprenticeship scheme has seen national recognition with many of its apprentices receiving local, regional and national awards during their time with the Council.

However aside from advertising current vacancies the new website will also host links to other resources that will give hints and tips to young workers ranging from interview techniques to CV writing skills.

For more information please see the new webpage (here)for current vacancies.
