National Minute Silence Grenfell Tower Tragedy

People in Blackburn and Darwen are being invited to join in and observe a national minutes silence today (Monday, June 19) as a mark of respect for those who have lost their lives in the fire at Grenfell Tower, London.

Rather than a formal gathering at the town hall, people are asked to mark the silence where its most convenient to them. We are also thinking about those affected by another potential terror attack outside a London mosque overnight.

Also groups, organisations and businesses may feel its appropriate to incorporate further minute silences at any gatherings or events in the near future to reflect on this tragedy and the terrorist attacks which have all left the country shocked and saddened.
