Blackburn museum and art gallery has launched a new website that will make finding out about the events and exhibitions hosted at the historic Blackburn building easier.
The new website, designed by Blackburn firm Source Creative, features comprehensive listings of all social and historical events coming to the museum.
It also lets would-be visitors find out more about the eclectic and fascinating range of exhibits and the prestigious art collection on permanent display.
As part of the Blackburn is Open programme the Museum has hosted a number of events that has showcased many of the jewels of its prestigious crown, including insight into its vast beetle collection.
This new addition to the Museum is part of a wider Council backed initiative to focus on the unique social and culture heritage of the town.
Martin Eden Director of Culture, leisure and Young people said “The Museum is one of the most important cultural buildings within the borough; it houses pieces and artefacts that detail, outline and represent our collective shared history.
“This new website will hopefully allow residents and visitors alike to discover the vast array of activities and collections available to them, which will allow them to learn more about the town.”
