The Local Elections are nearly here and will take place on Thursday, May 5 – and the deadline to register to vote is the end of tomorrow (Thursday, April 14).
Elections are your chance to make your voice heard and have a say on issues that matter to you in your Council, your town and your community.
Voting is a vital part of an open and democratic society and I would urge everyone who hasn’t registered yet to take five minutes out of their day and register to vote.
Anyone who is already on the electoral register at their current address doesn’t need to take any further action to make sure they can have their say.
Registration is a quick and easy process – just visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote and fill in the registration form and you only need your date of birth and national insurance number.
