Blackburn with Darwen goes to the polls in local elections on Thursday, May 6, and the list of candidates is now available on our website.
Elections are also taking place for the Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner and Parish Elections.

Blackburn with Darwen councillors make important decisions on running local services, such as planning, recycling and refuse collection, adult services, the growth and development of local business and sport and leisure.
The Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner has responsibility for governing Lancashire Constabulary and holding its chief constable to account.
The deadline to register to vote has now passed. You can still apply for a proxy vote if you need another trusted person to go along and cast your vote for you if you can’t make it to the polling station.
