Blackburn with Darwen residents are invited to take part in a region-wide art project to help raise awareness of adoption and celebrate the launch of National Adoption Week (3-9 November).
Taking inspiration from the handprints featured on the Let’s Adopt logo, the adoption services team will be at the locations below to ask shoppers and passers-by to pledge their support to the Let’s Adopt campaign by printing their handprint.
The handprints will be featured in a collection of artwork created by students from Blackburn College. The designs, which will be themed around the importance of family and siblings, will go on to be displayed around Blackburn and Darwen in early 2015.
- Monday 3 November (11am-3pm) – Blackburn Mall (next to the ‘ask me point’)
- Friday 7 November (11am-3pm) – Darwen Market.
So come on down and lend a hand to support the Let’s Adopt campaign.
