Blackburn Library and Care Network Hub will be hosting a free health and wellbeing event on Wednesday, November 20.
The event will run from 10am to 2pm on the first floor of Blackburn Library and at 9 Town Hall Street, Blackburn, and will showcase information and services including My GP App, children’s services, pharmacies, adult learning, young people’s services, dental, podiatry, lymphedema, falls and acupuncture.
Free health checks will also be available outside Blackburn Town Hall and visitors can enter a free prize draw.
It is taking place as part of Self Care Week, running from November 18-24. Self Care Week is about encouraging people to “self-care” which means “look after themselves” – manage simple, short-term conditions at home or by visiting a pharmacy.
The week is being supported by Blackburn with Darwen Local Integrated Care Partnership, which is made up of GP practices, local NHS organisations, the Council and community and voluntary organisations.
