Leader welcomes local NHS body good rating

The leader of Blackburn with Darwen Council has praised a local NHS partner following its good inspection rating. Blackburn with Darwen and East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) rated by NHS England and NHS Improvement as “good – NHS Blackburn with Darwen CCG

Councillor Mohammed Khan said he was delighted Blackburn with Darwen Clinical Commissioning Group had received a positive rating from NHS England and NHS Improvement.

Councillor Khan said:

I want to congratulate our local NHS partners on receiving such a positive result. It has been such a difficult year for everyone but it’s reassuring to know as both a partner and a resident that we have access to well planned, well organised and good quality health services.

We will continue to work closely with all our NHS partners especially in the battle against covid and also on our joint effort to develop better neighbourhood health and care services.”
